I certainly miss my church. City Harvest has become a sort of home to me, and the wonderful people I’ve met and gotten to know have become part of my extended family. This lock down has been really tough, with all the restrictions. Although I fully understand the reasons for the lock down and will respect the regulations, it doesn’t mean I don’t miss church. I’ve been coming to City Harvest for a little over one year now, and I have been so blessed!
The warm friendly smiling faces that welcome you at the door, worship services with meaningful, carefully selected songs, the undiluted Word (at times, tough to hear, but very needed!), the various opportunities to serve God and people in church, and most of all – the wonderful fellowship. These are the things I miss the most, on Sundays and during our other fellowships through the week.
We have been fortunate to be able to harness technology to still stay connected and have our services online, but nothing will ever beat the face-to-face human connection. I really hope and pray that this lock down finishes soon – I can’t wait to get back to church and enjoy the fellowship, encouragement, conversations, smiles, laughter, handshakes, hugs, and so much more!
